THE INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE ALLIANCE (sprog: DA)
I 1998 tog Sverige initiativ til dannelse af the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance, and Research (ITF), der skal sikre erindringen om Holocaust. Hurtigt sluttede Tyskland, Israel, Holland, Polen, Frankrig og Italien sig til – Danmark tilsluttede sig i 2004. I 2000 indkaldte Sverige til Stockholm-konferencen, hvor man på 55 årsdagen for Auschwitz´ befrielse vedtog Stockholm-deklarationen, der siden har dannet baggrund for organisationen, og i 2013 skiftede man navn til the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance – IHRA. I det forgangne år har Israel haft præsidentskabet for IHRA. Et af de danske medlemmer af delegationen, historikeren Otto Rühl, fortæller om IHRA’s arbejde og udfordringer.
THE INTERNATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE ALLIANCE
I 1998, Sweden formed the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance, and Research (ITF), which was created to ensure the memory of the Holocaust. For the past year, Israel has held the presidency of what is now IHRA, and on this occasion, one of the Danish members of the delegation, Otto Rühl, talks about the IHRA’s work.
