Jewish Culture Festival in Copenhagen is the largest festival of Jewish culture and art in the Nordic Countries, presenting events of high artistic quality. The festival is part of The Jewish Community in Denmark.
Each year, we organize a wide-ranging cultural festival, held during the first week of June. In 2026 we celebrate our 15th festival, taking place from May 31 to June 7.
Therefore we are currently preparing more than 70 activities such as lectures and debates, beautiful concerts across many different genres, dance, thought-provocative films, food workshops, exhibitions and much more. Concerts require a ticket, but all other events are open to the public free of charge.
In the autumn we present a New Year's Concert, host a Literature Day focusing on new Jewish writing, and during our Film Days at Grand / Gloria Cinema we screen new international films with a Jewish perspective.
Over the years, the festivals have been a great success with a vast audience - last year between 8,000 and 10,000 visitors - who take part in days filled with diverse events, many organized in collaboration with organizations, volunteers, and a wide range of cultural institutions.
At a time of rising antisemitism, it is more important than ever that we meet, engage with one another, and take an interest in each other's cultures and perspectives. Our events offer many opportunities to do just that - and everyone is welcome.
