I foråret 2026 åbnede udstillingen: Hanna Hirsch Pauli – Kunsten at være fri, om den svenske jødiske kunstner Hanna Hirsch Pauli. Udstillingen hylder en af Skandinaviens store malere med jødiske aner. I anledning af udstillingen fortæller museumsinspektør og ph.d. Rasmus Kjærboe om kunstneren og om andre jødiske kunstnere i Skandinavien i 1800-tallet, frigørelsens århundrede.
HANNA HIRSCH PAULI AND OTHER JEWISH ARTISTS IN THE 19th CENTURY
In the spring of 2026, the exhibition Hanna Hirsch Pauli – The Art of Being Free opened, dedicated to the Swedish Jewish artist Hanna Hirsch Pauli. The exhibition celebrates one of Scandinavia’s great painters with Jewish heritage. In connection with the exhibition, museum curator and PhD Rasmus Kjærboe will speak about the artist and about other Jewish artists in Scandinavia in the 19th century, the century of emancipation.
